Mother's Day Gift Ideas for Dog Owners
Share
When I think of Mother’s Day gifts, I always want to find something bright, cheerful, thoughtful and special. 🎁💐
As a dog mum to Rocky, I know that our role includes dog walker, ball thrower, personal groomer, treat giver (and everything else in between!) Being a dog owner means your pet becomes part of your everyday routine and your heart. ❤️
I don't have human children, so Rocky is the one I dote on and give all my attention to... And you better believe he expects every second of it! 😂 I know I'm not alone in this, so I wanted to share some Mother’s Day gift ideas for dog owners that I would personally love to receive. Hopefully this gives you some inspiration if you're looking for the perfect gift for a dog mum this Mother’s Day!
- A Dog Friendly Staycation.
A relaxing dog friendly getaway is such a lovely way to celebrate Mother’s Day together.
One place I have stayed before and would happily visit again is The Morritt Hotel and Garage Spa in County Durham. It is incredibly welcoming to dogs and surrounded by beautiful walking routes, which makes it perfect for a countryside escape with your four legged companion.
Another place on my wish list is South Causey Inn. The accommodation looks amazing, with unique themed rooms and even hot tubs. It feels like such a special treat for a dog mum who loves travel and cosy weekends away.
Dog friendly staycations in the UK are becoming more popular, and they make a memorable Mother’s Day gift that you can enjoy together.
- A Coffee Gift Card.
You really can't go wrong with coffee or a hot choccy. A gift card for a local independent coffee shop is such a thoughtful idea, especially if it is dog friendly.
Obviously bonus points if they serve pup cups so your dog can join in too! A relaxed coffee stop after a morning dog walk is one of life’s simplest pleasures.
- A Pet Pawtrait or Photoshoot
A personalised pet portrait is such a meaningful gift for dog lovers. Whether It's a drawing, painting or illustration, it captures your dog’s personality forever.
Even better, a photoshoot with your dog would be the sweetest experience and a memory you can keep forever. It is such a lovely way to celebrate the bond between a dog mum and her pet.
- A Lovely Book
If you love exploring new places with your dog, a walking guide book is a brilliant Mother’s Day gift.
I've followed Emily Gill from Great British Dog Walks on her Instagram page for years, and she has published a beautiful book called Follow My Lead. It's full of inspiring dog friendly locations across the UK, from coastal paths to countryside trails and city adventures.
It is the perfect gift for dog owners who love discovering new places to walk together.
